No room for Whistler SAR

Recently Whistler SAR has been displaced by a ever expanding Whistler RCMP, and no longer have space at the public safety building. Temporary plans, thanks to the Whistler municipality are to house us at the municipal works yard in a trailer for the winter. Hopefully a new permanent facility will be available at the public works yard in the future this summer. Our new base will require us to set up temporarily, and operate a limited command center, and storage facility. Whistler Search and rescue will operate through the winter in the trailers for this year, and with limited facilities will try to operate an efficient team.

Our annual general meeting will be October 24, 2006.
